Kungliga Tekniska h\u00f6gskolan, KTH, och Lunds universitet \u00e4r de f\u00f6rsta l\u00e4ros\u00e4tena som beviljats det nya bidraget f\u00f6r att rekrytera internationellt framst\u00e5ende forskare, ber\u00e4ttar Vetenskapsr\u00e5det p\u00e5 sin hemsida.<\/p>\n

KTH ans\u00f6kte om ett st\u00f6d f\u00f6r att kunna rekrytera professorn och nanoforskaren Valery Zwiller, i dag forskningsledare vid Kavli Institute of Nanoscience, Delft University of Technology i Nederl\u00e4nderna. Vetenskapsr\u00e5det har nu beviljat ans\u00f6kan som inneb\u00e4r ett bidrag p\u00e5 36 miljoner kronor f\u00f6rdelat p\u00e5 \u00e5tta \u00e5r, medan KTH sj\u00e4lva betalar 23 miljoner kronor f\u00f6r rekryteringen.<\/p>\n

Valery Zwiller har bland annat utvecklat en metod f\u00f6r att detektera ljuspartiklar, n\u00e5got som ska vara relevant f\u00f6r bland annat telekommunikation, bioavbildning och kvantoptik.<\/p>\n

Vetenskapsr\u00e5det har f\u00e5tt i uppdrag av regeringen att rekrytera internationella toppforskare till Sverige. Myndigheten kan dela ut upp till 15 miljoner kronor per \u00e5r till svenska l\u00e4ros\u00e4ten som ans\u00f6ker om bidraget, som ska locka fler internationellt framst\u00e5ende forskare hit.<\/p>\n
